It was 25th July 2007, the day I turned 21. Well, I never really celebrated my birthday for quite some years now, and got kind of used to it. Usually my Mum would buy a cake, cook a good meal, and we'll just spend the day at home. Even my 20th was spent in Changi Naval Base. However, this year it was different. There were no huge birthday bashes or anything, but it was the most meaningful Birthday I ever had!

It was the morning of 21st July at about 7 am. I was about to leave my place to go to Tuas Naval Base. I opened my door, and to my surprize, saw my girlfriend waiting for me! She got me a little chocolate cake, complete with a lighted candle and a present!! I was absolutely surprized, but didn't get to savour the moment, as I was running late for work. I hid the cake in the fridge, kept the present in my room, and left for work. Saras and I went to the bus stop about 15 mins walk away, and she sent me off. It was the beginning of the best birthday I ever had!
Work ended, and darling met me on the way home. I could finally take in a deep breath and enjoy the day freely! She fed me some of the cake and we spent the rest of the day together. Later on, Dad brought us and family to Karu's restaurant for dinner. It was a long time since my family had dinner together, and I was glad that Saras was with us!! Once done Dad dropped Saras at her place first. I went to her doorstep to send her off as always, and there, another surprize awaited me! Her Mum bought me another cake and a present! This one had a little Spiderman figure stuck to it.. Still have it on my table haha!
It truly was a great day for me. I didn't regret not being able to have a big bash as the people who ment the most to me made it more meaningful than a 10000 strong party!

I did get some cool friendster testis too. Most of them were those you just copy and paste around, but this one in particular really caught my eye. It was done by my friend Bernedette, or Bernie.. Haha see for yourself!!
